Lee-Anne Walker is a gender diversity activist, community leader, and founder of Be True 2 Me, a South African non-profit organisation supporting transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse individuals.
With over 30 years of experience in community engagement and advocacy, she focuses on advancing gender diversity, equity, and inclusion through both grassroots mobilisation and policy reform.
Lee-Anne has contributed to national consultations on the Identity Management Policy, Marriage Amendment Act, and gender-affirming healthcare guidelines, and served on the Department of Basic Education's Social Inclusion Working Committee.
As a founding member of the Gender Diversity Coalition, she has coordinated advocacy to strengthen legal recognition and protection for marginalised groups. Her work is recognised nationally and internationally, including her participation in the C20 LGBTIQ+ sector.
